School-Readiness is the foundation of each learner’s success in school. This 12-page profile assesses the unique potential of children and their readiness for formal learning. It is a brain-based assessment tool for determining the neurological wiring of children aged 6-9 and discovering how uniquely they process information, in which mode they prefer to learn, and how they are smart. and also advice on areas for further development. Included is expert advice on areas for further development.

 

Who is it for?

The School/Learning-Readiness Assessment is relevant for children aged 6 – 9 Parents with the following concerns would essentially send their children for a School/Learning-Readiness Assessment

  • “Is my child ready for school?”
  • “Is my child ready for learning?”
  • “Will my child adapt to the new learning phase in Gr4?”

What information will I get from a School/Learning-Readiness Assessment?

The School /Learning-Readiness profile consist of a 12-page report that will elicit the following information:

  • Brain Fitness
  • Lateral Dominance  (Left / right hemisphere dominance)
  • Quadrant Preference (How the child prefer to utilise his/her brain in everyday normal situations)
  • Expressive / Receptive Dominance
  • Genetic Brain and Sensory Dominance
  • Sensory Learning Preference (How your child prefers to learn)
  • Emotional readiness
  • Suggestions for further development

 

The Process

The assessment is done at a time and place of your convenience and takes 30 – 45 minutes. After the assessment, the report is generated electronically after which a one-on-one consultation takes place with the parties involved. During the consultation, the report is discussed in detail including suggestions for further development.
